Apple and the University of California have developed "MGIE," an AI model that edits images using detailed text instructions.
What you should know:
MGIE allows easy image editing using simple, everyday language.
MGIE uses multimodal LLMs to accurately interpret and edit both text and images.
The model is publicly available on GitHub and demonstrated on Hugging Face.
Apple is expected to incorporate similar AI technologies in the upcoming iOS 18 release.
